Rich travelers flying to and from Punta Cana International Airport in the Dominican Republic are soon to get the a very luxurious new outdoor swimming pool. It is expected to open doors somewhere in December 2017.
Designed by the architect Anotonie Imbert, the outdoor pool is one of the many features in this VIP Lounge.
At the moment the airport has two VIP lounges located in Terminal A and Terminal B, that are open for elite status fliers on some airlines.
Still no information about the access rules and price for a day.
The Punta Cana airport is also rolling out Preclearance later this year for all U.S. travelers, who will get to clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection on the ground in the Dominican Republic before boarding their flights back to the U.S. The Preclearance program includes immigration processing, customs, and agriculture inspections.
Close to 2 million passengers flew from Punta Cana to the United States last year.
