Hidden behind the majestic Pitti Palace, Boboli was once the private park of Medici family, commissioned for the wife of Cosimo I de Medici in 1540. It is considered the most beautiful example of Italian gardens in the world and includes a collection of outdoor sculptures, making it an open-air museum. The garden is rather beautiful with wisteria flowers, statues fountains, and even small museums inside standalone buildings around the property and, considerably fewer tourists.
