Blue Air. The Romanian air company started operating in December 2004 with 100% private capital and offers flights only in economy class. 2017 is important for the airline – as of May 2017, Blue Air flies to 104 destinations, carried over 5 million passengers, has a 40% increase over the 3.6 million passengers flown the previous year. The crew of Blue Air consists of the most experienced pilots and flight attendants in Romania. Most of the pilots of the Blue Air has over 10 000 flight hours on different types of aircraft, runs about famous European airlines operating successfully throughout the world. With its slogan “Follow your dreams and fly”, Blue Air operates charter flights and holiday destinations throughout Europe and West Asia, mainly the Mediterranean region. In 2016 the fleet of Blue Air has 25 modern Boeing airplanes – 737 (300, 400, 500, 700 and 800) with 120 – 189 seats.In January 2018, Blue Air launched a new subsidiary in Czech Republic known as Blue Air Moravia. The airline will commence operations in March 2018.
